Providing commercial services and project management since 2007
Headquartered in Bedfordshire in the centre of the United Kingdom, we specialise in the commercial and project management of transport operations and offer expertise to clients throughout the UK and Europe. We offer commercial operations and technical consultancy services, including short or long-term project and interim management services. Whether you’re a bank or private-equity house, ship-owner or maritime services provider such as an admiralty law firm, insurer, P&I Club or supplier, we aim to help you thrive in the current market. We bring extensive experience and professionalism to every case and customise our support to your individual needs and concerns. Recent market research in the maritime transport sector has reflected three clear demands from market participants. You asked for:
- Sound commercial AND technical expertise
- Formal project management skills that can handle 'uncertainty'
- Value-for-money and effective cost-management
We have been active in the maritime and transport industries for over thirty five years and have experience at board level and international senior management of large multi-site organisations as well as SME, both within the UK and internationally. We have experience of leading commercial and technical operations within major shipping and port services companies, cargo services and marine consultancies as well as regional liner trade and project cargo operations. Our recent experience includes management consultancy and non-executive board roles in both shipping and UK port and transport services. We undertake to offer you exceptional commercial and technical support.

Areas of Practice
The way organisations 'manage' is constantly under scrutiny and can be a source of significant risk to projects and entire organisations. So we offer project management services to provide a best practice solution. We use PRinCE2, a proven and truly global methodology, to control all the uncertainties that arise in a project, such as cost, time, risk, scope, quality and benefit. PRinCE2 is flexible enough to be tailored to the specific needs of ALL organisations and management cultures and provides a high level of assurance for the success of your project. Our project services are ideal in any sector of the maritime industries and relevant for all types of maritime clients.
We offer clients considerable experience in the commercial, operational and technical management of transport-related businesses. Our maritime experience includes break-bulk, project cargo, reefer, bulk and container vessels as well as offshore support vessels such as AHTS, multi-role dive support and heavy-lift vessels. We offer services for private-equity or venture capital houses, P&I clubs and insurers, admiralty lawyers and ship owners. The constant pressure on revenue streams and diminishing profits can bring high levels of complexity to maritime operations particularly in terms of cost management, commercial and operational 'risk'. That’s where we come in.
We help strengthen management capabilities, lead business transformation and change. We are cost-effective and deliver tangible results, we don't simply develop 'initiatives' which are then left for someone else to implement. An executive on c.£100,000 p.a actually costs a business a lot more. Once you add in employment 'on-costs', the real cost is nearer to £175,000. These costs do not apply when using us - and as we do not expect to be with you for long, we are free of 'office politics' and can tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear!
With our considerable industry experience, we offer to help develop your business strategy and then supply the means by which a firm can achieve its objectives. We are capable of seeing your business issues in a broad perspective and can bring independence and initiative. Strategy planning can often simply be described as long-term business planning and will typically cover a period of about three to five years. We are particularly keen to help firms with a specific difficulty and offer to support a business on a part-time or 'non-executive' basis and so provide real 'value-for-money'.
A business needs to transfer the Board's ambitions into action or it will remain as just 'wishful thinking'. We offer to help exploit the potential growth opportunities identified as part of the strategy planning process. We aim to integrate the knowledge and benefits contained within a client's specialist technical or commercial operations with chosen market sectors to generate sales. We are experienced in creating a platform from which to sell, closing sales, management finance and consulting and can help ensure that an organisation can implement growth opportunities successfully.
